Our Programmes

The faculty offers a wide range of internationally recognised programmes in five of its departments. Our programmes are fully accredited by Botswana Qualification Authority

The vision of the faculty is to be a world-class centre of excellence for Engineering and Technology Education and Research that seamlessly integrate research and education, to produce highly skilled professionals and to position Botswana as a knowledge hub by enhancing socio-economic growth through engineering and technological innovations. The Faculty vision is achieved through the quality and excellence in teaching and learning, intensive research and innovation and high impact engagement. 

In order to achieve its vision and mission, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology offers a wide range of programs in five of its departments namely; Chemical, Materials and Metallurgical Engineering; Civil and Environmental Engineering; Electrical, Computer and Telecommunications Engineering; Mechanical and Energy and Industrial Engineering, and Mining and Geological Engineering. All the departments offers Bachelor of Engineering (BEng), Master of Engineering (MEng) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs. Each department takes to heart, the mission of producing world class research, as well as promoting national and international development through the provision of skills and expertise to government and local industry among others. 

Moreover, the Faculty prides itself in local enterprise and international institutional partnerships geared towards a sustained growth of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) in Botswana. Furthermore the faculty takes delight in the grander goal of shifting the national economy from resource based to a knowledge based one. Our graduates drive the economic and technological development of the Country and the region as a whole
